This function will allow you to check your document for spelling errors.

To use Spell Check

1. Use the drop-down menu next to the Spell Check buton on the Text Tab. Select what type of Spell Check function you would like to perform. You can check spelling for an individual word, text box or the whole document.

2. Press the Spell Check button.

3. When a suspected misspelled word is found, a dialog box prompting you to change the word will appear. Use the suggested replacement words on the left, type the correct spelling, or select ignore if the item is spelled correctly.

Additional Dictionaries:
Spell Check allows you to reference standard dictionaries other than the one provided with this program. For details on how to use another dictionary, please refer to the help file included with the program.

Custom Dictionaries
Spell Check allows you to add words not recognized by the "american.vtd" dictionary to a custom dictionary. Examples of words that you could add to a custom dictionary include street names and acronyms.

Spell Check Options
Use the spell options to customize your spell check. Simply click once in the square on the left hand side of the option you would like to activate. To deactivate the option, click once in the square on the left hand side of the option to remove the "X".

NOTE: The Spell Check options are set at defaults that are accommodating to most of our users. Details on what each option does are listed in the help file included with the program.
